The relevance of this study stems from the need to rethink approaches to ensuring the financial security of economic systems in the context of digital transformation, increasing geopolitical instability and growing systemic risks. The aim of this article was to examine the transformation of the financial security of economic systems in the context of the digital economy, based on the integration of institutional, risk-oriented and digital approaches, as well as to summarise European experience in countering financial risks and threats to financial security, and to identify opportunities for its adaptation to the Ukrainian context. To achieve this aim, methods of theoretical generalisation, content analysis of academic and analytical sources, and systematic and comparative analysis were employed. The application of these methods made it possible to examine the evolution of academic approaches to the interpretation of financial security, to identify the characteristics of its transformation under the influence of digitalisation, and to carry out a comparative analysis of threats to financial security in the countries of the European Union and Ukraine. As a result of the research, an original interpretation of financial security as an integrated property of the economic system is proposed; a mechanism for the interaction between the macro- and micro-levels of financial security has been developed; and an integrated conceptual model of its transformation in the context of the digital economy has been formulated. It has been established that the digitalisation of the financial sector is significantly altering the structure of threats to financial security due to the intensification of cyber risks, technological dependence and the impact of digital infrastructure on the resilience of economic systems. Differences have been identified in the structure of threats to financial security in the EU and Ukraine. It has been determined that the modern European model for ensuring financial security is based on the principles of digital resilience, institutional coordination and proactive risk management. The practical significance of the findings lies in the potential to utilise the proposed approaches when formulating state policy in the field of financial security, developing strategies for the digital transformation of the financial sector, enhancing digital resilience, and adapting European experience to the conditions of Ukraine’s post-war economic recovery
