Aims and Scope

The editorial policy of the “Economics of Development” journal is based on the principles of objectivity and impartiality in the selection of articles for publication; high demands on the quality of scientific research; obligatory peer review of articles; collegiality in making decisions on the publication of articles; accessibility and efficiency in communicating with authors; strict compliance with copyright and related rights. The main criterion in the selection of materials for publication is their originality and relevance of ideas, the scientific and factual reliability of the presented material.

The aim of the scientific journal “Economics of Development” is to highlight the results of scientific research, the different views of scientists on global and current economic issues, and to analyse perspectives for the future.

Journal objectives:

  • publication of scientific results on the expansion and modernisation of research in the national economy, the introduction of innovations in production;
  • establishment of partnership cooperation with foreign scientific publishing organisations;
  • compliance with editorial ethics.

Beginning with Vol. 22, No. 1, 2023, the editorial board narrowed the thematic scope of the journal. The journal publishes materials in the following main areas:

  • Economics: economic theory and modeling, macroeconomics and microeconomics, analysis of economic policy instruments, economic development and growth;
  • Accounting and Taxation: financial accounting, audit and compliance, tax law and policy, international accounting standards, forensic accounting;
  • Finance, Banking, and Insurance: financial markets and instruments, investment analysis, corporate finance, financial derivatives. Banking operations, risk assessment and regulation, insurance markets and products, financial stability and central banks, FinTech and digital banking, insurance claims and underwriting;
  • Entrepreneurship: startups, innovative and technological entrepreneurship, small and medium-sized businesses, entrepreneurship financing, social entrepreneurship, business incubation and acceleration;
  • Marketing: marketing strategy and planning, consumer behavior and psychology, market research and analytics, online and social media marketing, brand promotion and advertising;
  • Trade and Exchange Activity: international trade, trade policies and agreements, supply chain, import and export practices, international commerce, trade barriers and duties;
  • International Economic Relations: global economic governance, international organizations and treaties, geopolitical economics, diplomacy and international trade negotiations, foreign direct investment, international economic development.

The journal publishes relevant studies that make significant contributions to the field of research in terms of advancing economic theory or methodology, address issues of general importance and/or current interest in the field of entrepreneurship and marketing, and generate new ideas that go beyond the research framework. The primary audience of the journal is researchers in economic sciences, doctoral students, lecturers, workers in the economic sector, and government officials interested in economic and entrepreneurship issues, processes and experiences.
